Report a receipt

Tell us about a receipt that is used for a scam, breaks the law, abuses someone, or exposes personal information. You can also ask us to remove a receipt you created. We review every report. If you cannot use the form, email the same details to [email protected].

Scam, phishing, or impersonation It is used to deceive people, or falsely claims to speak for a person or organization. Someone's personal or confidential information It shares private details, such as a home address, phone number, or documents, without consent. Harassment, threats, or hate It targets a person or group with abuse, threats, or incitement. Other illegal content It breaks the law in another way, for example copyright infringement or defamation. What we remove

Receipts are public, so SignedByAHuman removes a receipt when it:

is used for a scam, phishing, or fraud, or impersonates a person or organization;
publishes someone's personal or confidential information without their consent;
harasses or threatens people, or incites hatred or violence against them;
is otherwise illegal, including when it infringes copyright or other rights;
is spam or the product of automated abuse.

We also remove a receipt when the person who created it asks us to. We do not remove a receipt only because someone disagrees with the claim it records. A receipt records a declaration; it does not say the declaration is true.

What happens after you report

We review the report and decide whether the receipt breaks these rules or the law. Reports never hide a receipt automatically.
If it does, we remove the receipt. Its page then says that it was removed, when, and why, and no longer shows the text. The same text cannot be signed again.
If it does not, the receipt stays available.
If you left an email address, we will tell you what we decided.
A removed receipt stays in our records until its scheduled expiry so that a mistaken removal can be reversed, and is deleted after that.

If you created the receipt

Choose "I created this receipt and want it removed". Most receipts are anonymous, so include anything that helps us confirm it is yours, such as where you published it. If your receipt shows your email address, use that address in the form. Text you withdraw this way can be signed again later.
